Stele in homage to the Resistance fighter Yvonne Leroux alias Tante Yvonne.
Born in Toulon in 1882 Yvonne Leroux daughter of an Admiral was part during the World War II of the réseau Johnny in the service of the Intelligence Service. Living in Morgat in the Lecouteur villa she is approached by the network's creator the Docteur Antoine Vourc'h in order to obtain information about the Kriegmarine based in Brest.
Thanks to the director of the Brest arsenal she will transmit this information to London by radio, thus enabling the destruction of three U-Boats (German submarines).
Arrested at Plomodiern she will be deported to the concentration camp of Neuengamme then Ravensbrück. On liberation of the camp, she returned to Paris on a stretcher, where she was welcomed by General De Gaulle , but died shortly afterwards on April 28, 1945.
