French battery of 4 pieces of 194 mm Model 1902 in tanks on Mle 1934 carriage, with direction post of three-level firing. The structure was operational in 1940, but was not ready for the fighting to capture Cherbourg in 1944 due to a lack of personnel. The site can be visited today, with magnificent views out to sea.
